All buses within Interbus are powered by fossil-free fuel – HVO, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil.

This fuel which is more expensive than regular diesel, is a synthetic product that is mainly produced from vegetal and animalic waste.

The unique thing is that it does not contain any fossil ingredients.

The HVO sold in Sweden is made from several different raw materials which means that the reduction of climate impact compared to fossil diesel can amount to as much as 90%.
Another advantage of HVO is that it has much cleaner exhaust gases than ordinary diesel.
